Perched along the coastline, this newly built contemporary seaside home is a celebration of light, space, and uninterrupted views. With its clean white finishes, zinc roof, and large glass windows, the design embraces its surroundings—creating a bright, modern sanctuary that feels open and connected to nature. The glass-fronted balcony and outdoor barbeque area complete the relaxed yet refined atmosphere.
We were introduced to the client through a long-standing industry partner. Having replaced an older home on the site, the client had a fresh vision: combine architectural simplicity with advanced smart home features that enhanced daily life—without cluttering the clean, coastal aesthetic. From our earliest conversations, it was clear the views were the focal point. Our role was to support, not distract from, that experience.

The heart of this project was simple: preserve and enhance the view. To do that, we installed eight motorised blinds throughout the property—including a standout bottom-up tensioned roller blind in the upstairs bathroom. This allowed for both privacy and uninterrupted sightlines to the sea. All blinds were integrated into a single control system, with an “Away” function that closes everything at once as the client leaves the home.
Lighting automation was added in all key areas, including a motion-activated PIR sensor in the bathroom for seamless usability. A discreet surround sound system was installed in the snug. Two pairs of invisible Sonance speakers and hidden subwoofers were built into the cabinetry of the open plan kitchen/living room—providing immersive audio without compromising the clean lines of the interior. In the kitchen itself, hidden ceiling speakers ensured music was always within reach but never in view.
Security was a top priority. The client, highly conscious of safety, now enjoys peace of mind through a seven-camera system, including a 180-degree dual-lens camera, video doorbell, and discreet perimeter motion detection that alerts them to any unusual access. One of their favourite features is a strategically placed camera that captures the sunset, allowing them to enjoy the view—even when away from home.
A Samsung ‘framed’ TV was recessed into the wall on a discreet bracket, blending into the space while remaining flexible. The entire system was designed for simplicity and ease of use, offering a premium smart home experience that feels intuitive, not overwhelming.
“What truly sets this project apart is how it delivers a high-end experience with a practical, cost-effective approach. Every element was carefully considered to ensure that the client enjoyed the full benefits of modern smart home living—without unnecessary complexity or expense. From discreet automation to robust security, the system was designed to feel complete, intuitive, and effortlessly integrated into the lifestyle of the home.
The client’s feedback speaks volumes. Initially hesitant about certain features—particularly the invisible audio—they were ultimately thrilled with how seamlessly the technology blended into the home. The invisible Sonance speakers and hidden subwoofers delivered exceptional sound without a single visible compromise.
Above all, this project reflects the power of trust, collaboration, and understanding the client’s vision. By listening closely and responding with smart, design-led solutions, we were able to create a space that feels elevated yet natural.“
