Nestled along the coastline, this beautifully restored beachside property blends classic architectural charm with contemporary finishes. Built from stone and timber, the home retains a timeless elegance, enhanced by modern features that respect and preserve its heritage character. The owners had a clear vision: to integrate smart home technology seamlessly, without compromising the property’s historical appeal. Discreet audio and automation were key to maintaining the aesthetic integrity of the space.
We had the privilege of maintaining the property’s original AV system—installed by another provider—for several years. During that time, we developed a strong, trust-based relationship with the client, built on attentive service and reliable support. So, when the time came to renovate, expand, and upgrade their home technology, the client came directly to us, confident in our ability to deliver with precision and care.
The client’s brief was simple: modern technology without visual disruption—preserving the classic elegance of their coastal home. This meant creating a system that delivered high performance while remaining virtually invisible.
One key challenge was providing rich, room-filling audio without compromising the interior design. We achieved this by installing a combination of carefully chosen invisible and low-profile speakers, neatly integrated into the home’s structure. Speaker grills were colour-matched to surrounding joinery. Hardware was selected to complement existing finishes including custom brass light switches throughout. We created several bespoke freestanding TV solutions, fully concealing all cabling and maintaining the home’s clean, uninterrupted lines. Full property control was granted to the user through carefully placed automation units allowing them to grant access, change lighting, heating and other elements from anywhere in the house. Cleverly hidden WiFi repeaters allowed us to distribute a robust network with all cabling hidden, feeding into an easy access networking cabinet.
“The scale of the project required seamless coordination. Over 80 lighting circuits powered nearly 400 interior fittings, with 186 external light points creating a dramatic yet refined outdoor presence. A first-fix fibre optic connection linked the two buildings under one unified control system. Indoors, we installed 15 pairs of speakers and four subwoofers; outside, 12 weather-resistant speakers and two subwoofers brought the garden to life.
